Welcome to the southern Chalonnaise region
Many trails to discover the region:
“La Voie Verte” / The Green Way : once an industrious railway track, has been restored to a beautiful 70km, pedestrian-only nature path that provides a safe way to discover the area on foot, by bicycle, rollerblade or wheelchair. Set out from la Voie Verte and explore a rolling landscape covered with vineyards as far as the eye can see spotted with fields of plump Charolais cows grazing upon lush pastures.
Driving through the area, look for the signs marked “La Route des Grands Vins” (The Fine Wines Route) that guide you through a touristic route of the Grand Wines of the Southern Chalonnaise area. Here you’ll explore the vineyard appellation village of Montagny and the regional appellation "Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise". Buxy is a gateway to the Côte Chalonnaise villages and their famous wines.
Take part in the history surrounding the Romanesque churches that dot our landscape. A map and itinerary can be available at the tourist office.
